A Song's Been on My Heart...

A lot has happened in our life in the last month or so. A song keeps running through my head over and over again. I love it how God will put something like this on my heart when I need it the most. Here are the words. I bet a lot of you know this one.

Praise You in This Storm
words by Mark Hall

I was sure by now, God, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say, "Amen,"
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

Chorus

I LOVE this song. I can't listen to it with out getting tears in my eyes and belting it out at the top of my lungs. We are keeping you and your family in our prayers.

I can't say that I've actually heard that one, but I sure did need to read the words today! Thank you my friend!

I also love this song. Another one that has touched my life over the past year is "Bring the Rain". I think it is by Mercy Me. It taught me that sometimes in life we have to live through the "rain" or troubled times to recognize the "sunny" days. Boy, has my family had the RAIN. Love ya lots, your cousin Denise
